    1841 1D GREY-BLACK PL. 9 (SG3)(KH) DISTINCTIVE PLYMOUTH MALTESE ON LARGE PIECE (SPEC A1ui). Large part wrapper from Plymouth to Southwark, part address crossed through, with 1d grey-black pl.9 (SG3) lettered KH, cut along at foot otherwise good margins, tied fine strike of the DISTINCTIVE MALTESE CROSS OF PLYMOUTH in black (Spec A1ui). On reverse 'PLYMOUTH' date stamp MR 14 1841 and London date stamp 15 MR 1841. This example ex collection Michael Goodman. Mike Jackson lists 36 examples, 26 on 1d blacks including this usage, 7 on 1d reds, 2 on the Mulready and a single 1840 2d blue usage. Collector manuscript on front but Rare. (Ref 73367).
