1850 1D ARCHER EXPERIMENTAL PERFORATION PL.100 (SG16b)(KF) MATCHED PAIR. Good used 1850 1d Archer experimental perforation pl.100 (SG16b) lettered KF, several short perforations and diagonal bend but cancelled fine strike '70' numeral of Bideford in Devon, clear of alphabet 1 check letters. Matched with good used 1d imperforate (SG8), same plate same lettering, slight soiling but four close to fine margins. Of 515 Archer covers, 104 are used in Devon but only a single example - an unplated single on cover is recorded from Bideford in 1851. Rare provincial usage. (2 items). (Ref 130103).
