1843 MAIL MOSSIDE TO KIRBY LONSDALE WITH 'STAVELY/CROWN' MAIL BAG SEAL. Letter from Mosside dated July 15 1843 to 'Mr Pearson Esq, Solr, Kirby Lonsdale' with strip of 1d imperf (SG8), several have been partially removed but five part stamps still remain and tied by black Maltese cross. On reverse very fine strike of the very rare 'STAVELY/CROWN' mail bag seal in black and 'LANCASTER' and 'KIRBY LONSDALE' date stamps JY 15 and JY 16 1843. Rare usage. (Ref 133654).
