1857 'WARRINGTON/847' RECUT SPOON (RA124) ON DATED PIECE. Small piece with die 2 1d red-orange on cream toned paper (spec C9(2) lettered FC, some trimming of perforations but tied superb strike 'WARRINGTON/847' recut spoon (RA124) AP 1 1857 code 'E'. A very scarce spoon, Taylor only records 12 examples, less than Cheltenham and this example illustrated page 159 of Arundel/Taylor. (Ref 130012).
